As a farmer
If you are a farmer with land in the area of Yoro and you share an interest in planting oilseeds and equally want to be part of the BYSA enterprise, please contact the Field Coordinator of the project or visit the project office. Contact page
If you live in the area of Intibucá or Lempira, please contact Mr. Joaquim Bustillo
If you live outside of these two areas, it shall be better for you to link-up with a Technical Assistance Institution in your zone and discuss on the possibilities of implanting a biofuel chain in that area. In case there is a serious interest, please contact the Project Coordinator (with John Valadares` link) in order to organize a visit to Yoro.
Some criteria that favor the development of a project are:
• Underutilization of extensive land available, especially as a result of lack of credit.
• High availability of labor (indicator: average price per day)
• Level of organization amongst producers/farmers
• Prolonged presence of an organization that provides technical assistance in agricultural and business development
• Isolation of the area (indicator: higher prices for fossil fuels)
• Predominance of sandy soils (francos arenosas)

As a student / researcher
The research should help in reducing the risks that inevitably exist in any innovative process. Therefore, research proposals in areas such as agronomy; engineering and socio-economic studies are strongly welcomed. Please submit a brief description of your Research Topic to the Field Coordinator (John Link) who shall respond as soon as possible.
As a Technical Assistant
If your organization is working in an area that has the resources required to develop a project similar to Gota Verde, please contact the Field Coordinator to arrange a discussion/visit.
As donnor
The Gota Verde project can only respond to requests from the support it receives, especially within its area of intervention in the department of Yoro in Honduras. However, being one of the few biofuel projects in the region which shares its findings with the public; demand far exceeds the capacity to respond. Contributions can either be big or small.
If your organisation :
• to contribute to agricultural research and technology related to the production of biofuels and small-scale local use;
• to fund projects that replicate the experience of Gota Verde in other potential areas identified by the project;
• working with partners in an area where there is a potential to develop similar activities,
please contact the General Coordinator of the project.
